usefulness of Drupal Docbook output

Hi

Complete newbie to the list and Docbook in general, so please excuse total
basic level of understanding.

I've been spending a lot of time getting to know the CMS Drupal
(drupal.org), and one module it offers is exporting collaborative book
writing to Docbook format (http://drupal.org/node/38757).

So the thrust of my question, with a view to learning more about Docbook,
is basically to ask if this sounds like a useful tool with any kind of
practical application? The collaborative editing is useful, but I'm not
sure what I could then do with it once it is in Docbook format, so I was
wondering if any one had any suggestions to help build a context.
