Are you using FOP?

Do you already have a customization layer?
I had a left margin by default with docbook and FOP.

But yes, you can set the margin.
Have a look at this:

I guess there is something else wrong with your toolchain and/or
customization layer.

Hi all,
I'm a newbe. I'm wondering how is it possible to set the left margin of 
document. In general all the margin of the doc. I've produced some doc, 
but all them start from a very left point. I didn't find anithing on the 
doc. so wht I have to do?
