Ok. I now began to write my own testcase. Please check the attached
archive. I'm planning to include this example in the Debian package. The
result looks good.

I would like to improve the testdoc a bit by showing the DocBook XML
code and the output to the resulting HTML (and PDF) file. I tried one
possible solution in the example using the contents of
ex_listing_numbered.xml. Is there some way to make it easier, so I don't
need two entities? I know, I could also use the fileref attribute for
textdata.

Most are unused imports and unused variables. A few programming warnings
are included too. I attached the build-log.

CCing the -apps list for discussion of the example (@Bob: I sent you a
mail regarding the examples taken from your book) and/or java issues.
Please note, that the Makefile contains the classpath content for a
Debian system.
