sidebar spans?

Hi,

I've got a multi-column layout, and I need certain sidebars to span to 
full page width. I've tried setting the xml-pi (<?dbfo 
sidebar-width="8in"?>), but no luck. Anything else I can try?

I'm using 1.74.0 via oXygen 10 on Windows.
