Not quite.  The docbook-apps mailing list is where applications such as 
DocBook XSL are discussed, so I'm moving this over to that list.  8^)

I looked at your patch, and I think the changes you propose are appropriate. 
However, I'd like to implement them in a different way.  I don't want to see 
lang values in the stylesheet modules, so I'd like to indicate the writing 
direction in the locale files in the common subdirectory, and use that value 
to enact the alignment value for each language.
