Arbortext back-of-book index ranges

Does Arbortext support <indexterm zone="s001"> and <indexterm xmlid="idx.intro" class="startofrange"> syntax for tagging ranges for automatic back-of-book index generation using Advanced Print Publisher? 

 

From the documention I've read, it sounds like this isn't supported out-of-box. 

What's involved in configuring Arbortext to handle docbook index ranges?
