Jared and all,

Publican looks good. For those who care, it's not Linux-only by any means;
it seems to behave quite nicely in Mac OS X 10.6.2 as an alternative to
managing the tools in the chain using MacPorts/Fink or buying expensive
packages - and the copy I just downloaded has DocBook 5.0 support as well as
4.5.

Now there's even less excuse for Mac folk to move to 5.0.
