RE: [docbook-apps] sorting issue in Arabic glossary (glossary.sort)

“Is there anyone that has encountered a similar
problem in Arabic, and may be Chinese scripts (haven't tested yet on Chinese) ?
Does anyone know about known issues with the "glossary.sort"
parameter ?”

Just a thought, but are your sort rules accounting for
transitional characters? While characters in Latin have one form, characters in
Arabic can have isolated, initial, medial and final forms.
