Making the HTML article info header more compact

Hi,

If I'm running the XLST transformation for my DocBook 4.5 articles I get a relative long result.

I just played a bit with Asciidoc and the generated HTML info header is much more condensed.

Does anyone know how I can adjust the XLST to but author and copyright in the same line as well as version and date? AFAIK this is hard to do with CSS and I would like to avoid _javascript_ on our tutorials.
