Please note
that I am not participating in the decision as to whether or not ETSI
EMTEL TC will or will participate in the joint workshop. However I have
forwarded a copy of this email thread to those that are involved in that decision
making process in order to raise your concern with them, and asking them to
notify you of any change of date for the decision to be taken.

Hi Phil,

I am working on behalf of
OASIS to organize the agenda. We would be really pleased to see a presentation
by the EMTEL TC. It makes me a bit nervous to wait until the end of August but
if that is the best you can do, we will make every effort to accommodate you
even if we need to move things around as your work will be of tremendous interest
to this group of attendees. Please let me know ASAP, one way or the other.

Your kind consideration
is appreciated.

Best,

Richard

Following
on from this morning's conference call regarding a possible ETSI presentation
at the forthcoming ITU/Oasis workshop in October, it was agreed that this was
not necessarily a TETRA Issue, and that it might be more appropriate for the
EMTEL Technical Committee to present on some of their activity.  Whilst no
decision was taken as to participation or not, there was a forthcoming EMTEL
meeting (30th August) which could consider this issue further and provide a
response back to ITU as to the participation, or not, of ETSI at the workshop.

In order
to assist EMTEL TC, chaired by Ray Forbes, it would be useful to know if that
the date by which ETSI will respond is acceptable, and to whom within the ITU
the response, confirming ETSI involvement or not, should be made.
