Yes. Thanks very much for the clarification.
My "application profile" comes from the
ServerGuidance/ApplicationProfile, element in the draft core schema.
It's my understanding that this element is used as the overarching way
for a client to specify the requested behavior of the server.
I was trying to distinguish between the element, and the kind of
profiling done by standards orgs (such as ourselves :)
