EU Directive versus ABA "digest signatures"

Due to yesterdays discussion of digests signature I like to point out that the EU directive doesn't exclude signatures other than PKI implementations !

This is the directives definition of a signature :

  ‘electronic signature’ means data in electronic form which
  are attached to or logically associated with other electronic
  data and which serve as a method of authentication;

Dtmo "digest signatures" should be part of the DSS world !
