The xlink namespace is imported into the ebMS namespace in
msg-header-2_0.xsd:

<import namespace="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"
schemaLocation="http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/ebxml-msg/schema/xlink.
xsd"/>

Is it possible that your schema processor is not using the schemaLocation
hint? What schema processor are you using for the validation?

Can anyone explain the solution for the following query

"We are trying to validate our ebXML Document with the "msg-header-2_0.xsd"
schema file, its giving an error saying that "type attribute is not defined
in xlink namespace "
