[ebxml-dev] Reviewing eBusiness Rules

Hi - I have just been reviewing the responses to Mike RAWLINS "Still
looking for ebxml Applications" and perhaps the New Zealanders Dean,
Cameron and John have provided issues that we should consider further

Dean

The problem is that the creative people like Matt and Duane (Yellowdragon)
eventually have to succumb to working for a larger organisation and
it appears that Dean will be following the same path if he is to get funding
to develop his idea beyond his prototype - the rules of the money men
will have to be followed !

This is where John's submission on Local Government is important.

Perhaps Central Government and its complicated Tax system is still 
based on a feudal process and not a democratic process to stimulate
SME development and wealth for the local community

Most Small and Medium size Enterprises [SME] operate in the local area
and all link with their Local Council for issues such as payment of rates
or local Government tenders.

Perhaps the focus for ebXML could be to develop a Local Government 
SME enabling system that will ensure SMEs and the Local Community 
can obtain the benefits of ebXML

Perhaps we have to review the eBusiness Rules and processes
to provide a true financial benefit for SMEs and local Community to 
use eCommerce

This would include developing Community-type supply-chain networks 
not hierarchical pyramid supply-chain networks
