Here is the letter concerning ebXML security harvesting
for W3C WSA as requested by Ian on today's call.

Karl and Dale,
Sounds like this is something we should put on the agenda for the next
JC
meeting, unless you know of any documentation?

Kathryn

Let me introduce myself, I'm the chair of the PSTC@OASIS and a
contributor to the Web Service Architecture WG @W3C. As part of the
WSA-WG, we have formed a Security Task Force (the SFT) to look at and
help coordinate a security architecture for web services. I have been
tasked with, what is fondly referred to as the "harvesting" of security
models/specification and knowledge from related efforts.

I like to solicit the help of the JC to quickly (and somewhat roughly)
assess where and what the ebXML effort has in offer in terms of a
security architecture, security recommendations, specifications or
common body of knowledge. I'm aware of a couple of presentations and a
paper from XML 2001. Could you direct me to anything you feel is
relevant?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
