ebXML is ISO 15000
Today ISO announced its approval of the first four completed v2.0
layers of ebXML, as ISO 15000 parts 1 through 4. See
http://www.oasis-open.org/news/oasis_news_03_29_04.php
and http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/commcentre/pressreleases/2004/Ref904.html.
Maintenance of these specs will remain with their originating bodies, and
this does not preclude future versions of the approved specs (e.g., 3.0
versions) from being associated with the ISO series once approved and
stabilized. Numbering also has been reserved for additional parts of the
ebXML set of specifications.
This is a gratifying development for the hundreds of experts who have
been involved in the project for years. Congratulations. JBC
