OASIS E&VS TC MEETING - 8th MAY

Thanks for the respones.  The concensus is 8th May at the times stated below:

    Time - 15.00 UK, 16.00 Europe, 10.00 EST, 7.00 PST

    Duration - 2 hours

 

Apologies to those that cannot make this but it appears that we should have a quorum and therefore can make some early progress.  The F2F meeting room and teleconference facilties are being provide by Accenture and I'll forward details of both these in next day or so.  I'll also post them on the TC website.

 

The provisional agenda for the meeting is as follows:

 

1.  Catch-up since last meeting
2.  The new OASIS IPR Policy and Membership Agreements

3.  2006 Work Programme
4.  EML v5 - review of proposed updates (revised list to follow)
5.  Implementation Guide and Case Studies
6.  IEEE 1622 liaison

7.  Adoption opportunities
8.  Any Other Business
9.  Date of next meeting

If anybody has any other items for the agenda will they please let me know asap.

Thanks again for all the support.  Now let's get this show back on the road and quickly to make up for lost time.  

 

I have in mind a work programme for the rest of this year as follows:

- produce EML v5 to reflect the proposed changes currently posted on the TC website - see attached

- get v5 approved as an OASIS Standard

- get EML approved as an ISO Standard

- produce a simple implementation guide for new users, plus some case studies

- align ourselves with IEEE 1622

- promote adoption in new areas

 

Happy to hear of additions to this list.

 

But first let's get a TC meeting organised, either next week or the week after.  I no longer have access to meeting rooms and teleconference facitilies, so can someone provide both for a meeting please, preferably in London?

 

Dates - how about either 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 or 17 May.  What are your preferences please?
