RE: [election-services] EML : EML v6.0 PROGRESS
Just a quick update on progress so that you
are all kept in the picture.  See progress notes in-line below against
each action.

Based on this progress we should be in a position
to have a full draft of v6.0 ready for TC review and approval by the end of July
at the latest.   When I have a clearer date I’ll look for a convenient
date for a TC call to review the whole package..

John

EML : YESTERDAY'S CALL

Hi All

Apologies for the mess up yesterday but
I managed to catch up with David and Paul later in the day and we had a run
through of the changes that David has made.  Be assured we didn’t
make any binding decisions on the TC but we did agree the following
actions to move us forward to v6 approval:

1.
Me to seek final approval from the VIP project
to the changes

JB
– discussions in progress, final feedback from VIP promised by 1 July.

2.
David and I to review the EAC’s draft
recommendations to assure ourselves we can meet all their stated requirements

JB
– review completed and a couple of points to be checked by David.

3.
Me to confirm IEEE/P1622 situation and whether
they have any new requirements

JB
- situation clarified with IEEE and no new requirements expected.

4.
David to separate out the CIQ information from
the specific EML information in the data dictionary to make it easier to review

JB
– to be actioned in final production of the Data Dictionary.

5.
David and I to load the business descriptions
into the data dictionary

JB
- underway

6.
David and I to review and update the Business
Process and Schema Descriptions documents.  Probably collapsing both into a
single document with less pictures and schema listings to make it an easier
read.

JB
– single document produced and in process of being reviewed.

Hopefully we can do all this in the next
few weeks and then convene a final review meeting before holding a TC
vote.  So stay tuned and chip in whenever you can please.

Regards

John

TODAY'S CALL ABANDONED

Due to lack of people ready to join the call, I’ve decided to
abandon it.  Sorry to the few who were ready.  Let’s try for
another date fairly soon.

David – can you give us a date when you will be free for another
call please?  As a minimum you and I should talk.

Regards

John
