Process for CAP Profile Requests

All,

During the SC meeting today, Joerg proposed that the SC develop a set of rules or best practices in developing CAP Profiles – such a set of rules will potentially help the SC to evaluate the different international CAP Profiles. I wanted to put this item on the listserv to get your thoughts and comments.

I see the following benefits from such a set of best practices:

Consistency in the various CAP Profiles, thereby helping in interoperability in the international domain (esp. neighboring countries since incidents can span across borders)

A consistent way to handle requests for development or evaluation of profiles

This is a starter list – so feel free to add or provide other opinions.
