Meeting Today

Hi All,

We have a regularly scheduled Geo-GIS meeting today, so I just wanted to 
send out a reminder because this is the meeting I'm most prone to miss, 
except that there are some issues that go beyond the the Requirements 
we've reviewed that I'd like to introduce into our discussions.

1. Core Services shared with the Net-Centric Operations Industry 
Consortium (NCOIC) Net-Enabled Emergency Response Integrated Project 
Team (NEER-IPT), specifically location services related to identifying 
agencies by geographical and geopolitical criteria and using that to aid 
in authentication of identity, or identity management as it often termed.

2. I received a message from an LA City Fire Department Captain who is a 
GIS specialist  last evening but I was unable to answer. I will forward 
his questions when I have them. He specifically mentioned being 
interested in open standards, so I'm hoping this may lead to the kind of 
connection with local level practitioners that can be mined for valuable 
usability feedback.
