I am writing this as comment to the sentence in the EDXL-DE 101
document.  The Sentence reads “There are a number of current
distribution mechanisms available while full DE-aware solutions are emerging.”
  We need to define in the subcommittee the definition of distribution. 
E-mail is pushed to the recipient without additional actions from the recipient.
  I have detailed knowledge of the IPAWS and DNDO solution which uses
NuParadigm Foundation to distributed EDXL-DE wrapped content.  There may
be a solution from Matt Kern using another vendor but I have not seen it. 
DNDO may have Sandia evaluate it in the Future.  DMIS/OPEN is coming out
with a new WSDL and mechanism for EDXL-DE but it is not a push delivery.

 

I feel we should change the sentence to read “There are a number
of current distribution available for EDXL Content (e.g. CAP, HAVE
etc.) while full DE-aware solutions are emerging.”
