FYI, A team led by Oracle has submitted GeoSPARQL into the OGC process as a 
candidate standard. The charter for this activity is attached. The key will 
be to insure that GeoSPARQL is harmonized with SQL-MM spatial, OGC/ISO 
Simple Features, and GML Simple Features profile.
