Also, the GML 3.1.1 PIDF-LO Shape Application Schema for use by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) allows either gml:Pos or gml:posList. Reason I bring this up is that many location payloads that may be used by an alerting system will be provided by lower level internet standards such as SIP, HELD, LOST, RADIUS, ECRIT, and PIDF. DHCP also now supports a location payload and there is a DHCP binary to GML mapping. So perhaps the same of gsf?
