2017 Steering Committee appointments, nominations and election
Elysa, Sorry I missed some nuance in your message -- I didn't understand your note about Scott Robertson being at HL7 as connected with a nomination for an at-large seat in the Steering Committee. I captured the TC selections in the meeting notes and stopped reading. Unfortunately none of the nomination and "selection" process executed in support of Scott Robertson in the EM TC was at all in accordance with the Nomination Process as described in the MS Policy and reported to your group in email before and during the Nomination period. However, I also realize that had you followed the process, Scott would have been seated by the nomination as an uncontested candidate for the last open seat. Therefore I'm adding him to the roster but ask that you follow the process properly in the future so as to not create a problem so easily resolved. If there was a contested seat, I would have to disallow Scott's non-compliant nomination. In case its not obvious, when I'm managing all the SC nominations and elections in September, I only look for at-large nominations sent to the sc-elections mail alias. In order to focus on the nominations I tend to ignore some other email (but you already guessed that ;-)) All the best, Scott...
