Public Warning Challenge

As I noted here before, the Internet Society is inviting any organization 
involved in an aspect of public warning to endorse this statement:

   Collaborative actions are necessary to assure that standards-based, 
all-media, all-hazards public warning becomes an essential infrastructure 
component available to all societies worldwide.

The Web site that provides background to this Challenge statement ( 
http://www.isoc.org/challenge ) references the OASIS Common Alerting 
Protocol (CAP) standard.
