ITU promoting CAP standard for all-media, all-hazards public warning

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has resolved to promote 
implementation by appropriate alerting authorities of the Common Alerting 
Protocol (CAP), the international content standard for all-media public 
warning.

This resolution is part of the final actions from the ITU Plenipotentiary 
Conference in Antalya, Turkey during November 2006 (see attached document).
