tribal homeland security/emergency management officials from FEMA Region VI (Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and
Texas) plus
representatives of DHS, the national laboratories
mentioned above and other partners.  

 

WHY: Increase
resilience by increasing regional science
and technology awareness and collaboration, spotlighting the
capabilities offered by DHS and the local labs. Reflecting the most prominent
homeland security issues of this region,
this event will emphasize border
security and natural disasters.
