And if anyone needs schema examples, me know. I sent Lew a draft of the SF 
Corrigendum with teh CirclebyCenterPoint added. We are awaiting the final 
schematron implementation as well as any final editor comments. The primary 
editor believes that all is good to go as soon as the schematron files are 
completed.

A 
bit more verbose :-) but provides an excellent example of 
how a circular geometry can be a polygon feature that is part of a surface 
covering "surface". One can have feature instances that are much simpler than 
the one above. The example above is from a real application of GML in the CBRN 
community (based on the CCSI model - Common CBRN Sensor 
Interface)
