Interested in joining the new EM-TEC SC?

To interested OASIS Emergency list members,

ELysa Jones has asked the TC Admin to stand up the new Emergency Management-Tracking Emergency Clients Subcommittee. I am the proposed chair of the SC. The subcommittee charter was approved at a recent EM-TC meeting, as follows:

The purpose of the Emergency Management Tracking of Emergency Clients (EM TEC) subcommittee is to develop the OASIS EDXL-Tracking of Emergency Clients (EDXL-TEC) messaging standard to facilitate the tracking of evacuees and other displaced persons during emergencies, disasters, and routine day-to-day incidents, the transport of such emergency clients to shelters, and the repatriation and reunification of emergency clients with their families. The EDXL-TEC standard should be consistent with the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and all applicable EDXL standards, including the EDXL Distribution Element (EDXL-DE), Hospital Availability Exchange (EDXL-HAVE), Resource Messaging (EDXL-RM), Situation Reporting (EDXL-SitRep), and Tracking of Emergency Patients (EDXL-TEP) in order to support the broad interoperability and information-sharing needs of the Emergency Response and Disaster Management practitioner communities.

I am soliciting interested persons to join this subcommittee. Please respond to this email if you are interested in joining this SC. If you are, I have two additional questions:

I suggest we meet every two weeks at 12::00 PM Eastern on the 2nd and 4th week of each month for one hour. Does this time work for you; if not, can you suggest another time?
