Items to Consider Regarding Deliverables to SGIP for PAP09

When evaluating the EI deliverables, especially the schemas,
I think it is important that we are reminded of some of the “How”
criteria as defined on the SGIP
PAP09 Twiki.

 

The work should be done in alignment with IEC 61968 (the IEC
TC57 Common Information Model or CIM). This has driven some of the
restructuring of the task table, in addition to other efforts. Specifically, 

 
Where appropriate, reuse
     published DR components from the IEC TC57 CIM 

 
If extensions are developed to
     the CIM components they should be submitted to IEC TC57 for approval and
     integration 

 
Where appropriate, incorporate
     work from OpenADR
     

 
Where appropriate, incorporate
     work from OASIS and enterprise/eBusiness 

 
Focus on cross-domain
     interfaces and shallow integration 

 
Understand that the scopes and
     boundaries are fuzzy 

 
Utility commitment to the CIM
     will guide implementation is recognized and should be a boundary
     requirement 

 
Sharing of work product is
     organization dependent and is not defined in the table. For example,
     deliveries to OASIS Technical Committees require contribution from members
     or delivery via a comment email list
