Closure of OASIS Entity Resolution TC
To OASIS Members:

This is to notify you that the OASIS Entity Resolution Technical Committee has completed its work and is now closed.

The history of entity resolution goes back a long way. The original Entity Management catalog specification (OASIS
Technical Resolution 9401:1997) was one of the major technical pieces of work that SGML Open created. The Entity
Resolution TC was formed in order to create an XML version of catalogs that would also take into account the needs of
the Web. The resulting specification, the XML Catalog Specification V 1.1 became an OASIS Standard on October 1, 2005,
and has since been implemented in various products and platforms.

We thank the members and leadership of the TC for their contributions and dedication to this effort. The work that the
TC produced during its tenure can be found at its public pages, which will remain accessible at:
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=entity.
The TC email archives will also remain permanently accessible at
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/entity-resolution.

Regards,

Mary
