Dee, this is why I've never understood accounting: an increase of 3k is actually a decrease.

So... let me see if I understand. We set aside 5k for Jane. We set aside 6k for speaker, staff and travel for a total of 11k.

8k was actually spent. Of that 8k, how much was for Jane's time and expenses? Is the additional 3k to make Jane's 5k good? Or is it something else? Are there unpaid expenses pending?

You may recall that we allocated 11K to support this event.
