Notes from KMIP interop call, October 21

Here are my summary notes from today's interop call. Please let me know

Comment regarding what is contained
in an Attribute in a server response to an Add Attribute (or possibly also
in Create, Register etc requests). Specifically related to the Usage Limits
attribute at Time 2 in Use Case 5.1: Only Usage Limits Total and Usage
Limits Unit is specified in Attribute in the request, but the server returns
also the Usage Limits Count field (which is set as a result of the creation
of the attribute). However, it is not clear from the spec that returning
also the Count field is required. E.g., IBM's server returns it, CryptSoft's
does not. This should be addressed in the spec (lock down the behavior
and not leave it variable).

Proposed next steps for interop testing:
-Implement and test the remaining use
cases in the original document in November, December
-Start working on additional use cases
-Target RSA Conference in February 2011
for potential interop demo

Action items:
-Bob, Stan to check status of EMC/RSA,
HP implementations and feasibility of proposed schedule
-Tim, Mathias to finish implementing
missing use cases and ironing out error responses
-Mathias to prepare some suggestions
for use cases for asymmetric profiles
