Notes from KMIP interop call, May 5

Here are my summary notes from today's interop call. Please let me know of any additions/corrections you might have.

Suggestion to do next round of interop either week of May 23 or 30. Tim looking to have Java server also online for testing, and planning to add support for protocol version querying, vendor extensions and groups, but not for credentials. No plans for support for new functionality from HP, SafeNet to have more support within a month. Quintessence Labs to have client in 2-3 weeks and a server a few weeks after that, initially v1.0 functionality.
Discussion on interop testing at UNH and/or SNIA. Bob suggested three options: i) using UNH for testing new functionality and SNIA for compliance testing; ii) using UNH for both, and iii) using SNIA for both. Concerns around the costs and the fact that no compliance test suites have been defined. Need to have resources committed to define compliance tests, SNIA proposal included help for the development of test programs but requires having compliance defined. Continuing with the current ad-hoc effort for testing new features as before also an option. Plans to have the definition of a compliance suite as a topic for the f2f.
