Here is  the quarterly status report for 
the Integrated Justice 
TC: 
 
 
During the fourth 
quarter, the OASIS LegalXML Integrated Justice Technical Committee (TC) held 
conference calls in October and November and a face-to-face meeting in Las Vegas 
in December.  The work of the TC focused on: 
 
1. Finishing the TC 
court reference documents begun in the June workshop.  These reference 
documents include Sentence Orders, Traffic Citations, Protection Orders and 
Court Dispositions. 
 
2. Reviewing law 
enforcement reference documents developed at a November workshop sponsored by 
SEARCH.  These reference documents include Field Interview Reports, 
Incident/NDEX Reports, Arrest/Booking Reports with Fingerprint and DNA Capture, 
and Charging Documents/Criminal Complaints/Juvenile Petitions. 
 
3. Defining an 
outline for a TC specification entitled "GJXDM Reference Document Methodology, 
Naming and Design Rules (NDR)" based on a similar document for the UBL. 
 
4. Revising the TC's 
Charter to define the TC's mission as "concentrating on developing, recommending 
and facilitating methodology best practices for the implementation for GJXDM 
based XML exchanges".  The charter was also updated to list the TC's 
deliverables and activities. 
 
5. Electing Scott Edson a 
liaison to the UBL TC. Scott would presumably represent the LegalXML Member 
Section. 
 
6. Expressing the intent 
to select the "Restricted Royalty-Free" OASIS IPR 
license.  
 
 
 TC efforts for the first quarter of 2005 
will include:  
 
1. Holding monthly 
conference calls in January, February and March and meeting face-to-face meeting 
in New Orleans in April. 
 
2. Developing the 
GJXDM Reference Document Methodology, Naming and Design Rules 
specification.  This deliverable will provide a standardized methodology 
for the development and definition of GJXDM conformant Reference Exchange 
documents.  This document will leverage the UBL 1.0 specifications, several 
existing best practices documents developed by members of the TC, and other TC 
artifacts and source materials.  It will be developed as a working draft in 
March to allow for voting as a Committee Draft at the April face-to-face 
meeting. 
 
3. Developing a 
white paper documenting how to apply UBL components/concepts to the GJXDM.  
The TC will also review this document at the April face-to-face meeting.
