I think as a practical matter if the contributing organization, whether
or not also an OASIS member, provides the kinds of assurances that the
current OASIS IP policy requires of a "contributor", then OASIS is
adequately protected. It seems that by using the word "contributor "
rather than "member", the current IP policy intended such a result.
