I just received Patrick’s 5-05 financial report.  It says that our May income was $7855.61
below budget projections and that our expenditures are $2643.28 above our
budget projections for the year to date.  I expect the gap between budgeted and
actual expenditures to increase for the next couple of months until Court
Filing Blue is completed.



Overall, we are looking very good financially.  We began the year with a balance of $62,575.70,
we have a current balance of $49,259.82 and deferred revenues for the remainder
of the year of $13,258.49 (for a total of $62,518.31 – almost where we
started the year).  Our budget was
designed to draw down our current balance significantly over the course of the
next two years – to use available funds to maximize benefits to our
members (which I think we are doing by the major progress of Court Filing
Blue).  I estimate that we will be
drawing down our balance by $20,000 to $25,000 by year end due to additional anticipated
expenditures (not including any additional Steering Committee meetings).



I have no idea whether the May income figure is worth
worrying about.  Perhaps Jamie can
provide us some interpretation of the number.  It may relate to the apparent
non-renewal of the US Department of Justice.
