I'll stand aside from this discussion and any decision making about it
until its conclusion has been reached. If I've been incompetent in
setting up this election, I trust the others on the Steering Committee
can fix my mess and the Steering Committee of 2007 can be more
circumspect in whom they choose for Secretary.
I note that "individual" members Robert DeFillipis and Laurence Leff are
indeed voting members in the Member Section. If you know of individuals
who were left out -- each of whom is a voting member of at least one TC
in LegalXML AND who designated dues-sharing with LegalXML when joining
or renewing OASIS membership -- those should be brought to OASIS' staff
attention.
Dee Schur of OASIS is the person who worked with us to figure out and
applyh the eligibility criteria. She contacted companies and individuals
to inform them about the criteria for voting. I am not personally
willing to cover all that ground again. A review of e-mails by someone
could be undertaken, since eligibility was extensively discussed and
conclusions reported to the Steering Committee.
