Respondents may enter to win an OASIS aloha shirt or polo shirt for themselves and their TC Chair(s). ICOM enables applications to maintain a complete thread of conversations across multiple collaboration activities. The public review ends 18 Dec. http://t.co/00h3Kb4z --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WS-Calendar SOAP-based Services 1.0 public review begins This document describes standard messages and interactions for service interactions with a system that hosts calendar-based information using SOAP. Hosted information can be either traditional personal and enterprise calendar information or services that support XML payloads developed in conformance with WS-Calendar. The public review ends 6 Dec. http://t.co/g1y5bGX9 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDXL Distribution Element (DE) 2.0 public review extended The Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) DE describes a standard message distribution format for data sharing among emergency information systems. It allows related pieces of emergency information to be wrapped into a single “package” for easier and more useful distribution. Due to extensive changes made to the Committee Specification Draft, the public review announced on 9 Nov has been extended to 11 Jan. https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/201211/msg00008.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS organizes largest Interoperability Showcase for RSA 2013 At the RSA Expo in San Francisco, fourteen member companies will demonstrate products that support the eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) or the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) OASIS Standards. Axiomatics, Boeing, Forgerock, NextLabs, Oracle, Quest, and ViewDS will show how XACML 3.0 is used for representing authorization and entitlement policies. Cryptsoft, IBM, QuintessenceLabs, SafeNet, Thales e-Security, Townsend Security, and Vormetric will demonstrate end-to-end encryption using KMIP. The event will be held 26-28 Feb. http://www.rsaconference.com/events/2013/usa/index.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cloudscape V to highlight OASIS Cloud standards This Brussels event will feature a presentation by OASIS Board member, Gershon Janssen, on OASIS cloud standardization and interoperability projects. He'll discuss future cloud activities and explore how OASIS work relates to the European Commission’s plan.
