OData 4.0 and OData JSON Format become OASIS Standards
Members have approved the OASIS Open Data Protocol (OData) 4.0 and OData JSON Format 4.0 as OASIS Standards. OData is a REST-based Web protocol that uses URIs to address and access data feed resources, and enables information to be accessed from a variety of sources. Congratulations to the OData TC chairs, Ralf Handl of SAP AG and Ram Jeyaraman of Microsoft (and former co-chair Barbara Hartel), and to all TC participants including representatives of Foundational Sponsors, IBM and Microsoft, and Sponsors, Axway, BlackBerry, CA Technologies, Citrix Systems, Progress Software, Red Hat, SAP, and SDL, for this accomplishment.
Two OSLC Technical Committees form
The OSLC (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration) Automation TC will leverage the OSLC Core Specifications to enable interoperation of automation processes among IT systems and services hosted on various platforms. TC proposers include representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM, as well as Sponsors, WSO2, Method Park, National Instruments, and others. Lin Ju serves as the convener; the TC chair(s) will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 25 Mar.
The OSLC PROMCODE TC will advance a standard for exchanging project management information across Software Supply Chain (SSC) organizations. TC proposers include representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM, as well as Sponsors, NEC, Fujitsu, Nanzan University, and others. Dr. Mikio Aoyama of Nanzan University serves as the convener; the TC chair(s) will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 25 Mar.

TC publishes IDCloud Gap Analysis 1.0 Committee Note
Identity in the Cloud (IDCloud) provides an analysis of gaps in current identity management standards. Congratulations to IDCloud TC chairs, Anil Saldhana of Red Hat and Anthony Nadalin of Microsoft, and to all TC members for accomplishing this milestone.
CAMP public reviews open
Cloud Application Management for Platforms (CAMP) is REST-based interoperable protocol used by cloud implementers to package and deploy their applications.
CAMP 1.1 defines the artifacts and APIs that need to be offered by a Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud to manage the building, running, administration, monitoring and patching of applications in the cloud. Its purpose is to enable interoperability among self-service interfaces to PaaS clouds by defining artifacts and formats that can be used with any conforming cloud and enable independent vendors to create tools and services that interact with any conforming cloud using the defined interfaces. This public review ends 17 Mar.
CAMP Test Assertions 1.1 defines the conditions required for implementation conformance with CAMP. This public review ends 2 Apr.
Australia puts AS4 applications to the test
Congratulations to OASIS members, Axway, Flame Computing, and TIBCO for successfully participated in this test event, which was administered by the Drummond Group for Australia's federal superannuation industry project SuperStream. The OASIS AS4 Profile of the ebMS standard provides a secure and reliable business messaging platform for businesses, governments and other organizations to interoperate seamlessly across national, regional and global boundaries.

Britain's Smart Cities Standard uses OASIS Transformational Government Framework
The Smart Cities standard establishes a good practice framework for leaders to develop, agree on, and deliver strategies that can transform their city’s ability to meet future challenges. Developed by the British Standards Institute, the specification draws on OASIS TGF, which provides an overall framework for using IT to improve the delivery of public services.
