I think we would be wise to capture the technical use cases for OBIX.  This might help us decide what other standards or technologies are  appropriate to leverage.  

Maybe some use cases and anti-use cases will support selection or rejection of UDDI, relaxng, WSDL (I know this is probably a given we need this, but there is a use case that supports it.  Lets write it down), REST, HTTP, SMTP, WS-*, UTF-*, ISO-8859-1, US-ASCII, ISO-8601,  etc.
