Interested parties . . . From: Andy Fuhrman [mailto:] Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2006 11:56 AM To: 'Andy Fuhrman' Subject: OSCRE RPUID WG: Call For Participation and Last Call for Draft Charter Comments The Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE) is please to distribute the attached draft of the Real Property Unique Identifier (RPUID) Work Group Charter for a final round of comments. Many thanks to Ward Caswell of CB Richard Ellis and Lora Muchmore of Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for their efforts in developing the Draft Charter. The RPUID concept is apply a non-intelligent code to properties, buildings and potentially structures similar to Social Security numbers and Vehicle Identification Numbers (except non-intelligent schema) that would be a Master Number would provide for attribute information to be contained. The attribute information could contain other Identification Numbers, Chronology of Modifications as well as other desirable data elements. The RPUID should contain the least amount of required data elements with the ability for users to insert additional data fields for their other possible uses. We are also soliciting interested parties to participate in this effort. If you would like to join this Work Group, please contact me. Meetings typically last one hour and occur every other Thursday with the next one scheduled to occur February 23rd at 8am PST. We’re migrating to GoToMeeting for our Web and Teleconferencing tool. We’ll be sending out the dial-in and meeting ID information in the next few days.
