RE: Completion of OBIX Version 1.o
Hi Toby, Here's what you need: The proper designation is: Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) Version 1.0 Public Review Draft xx Revision 01 Once vote for CS passes, then it will designated: Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) Version 1.0 Committee Specification 01 (date ballot closes) And once OS vote passes, it will be: Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) Version 1.0 (1 month 2007) All the details can be found here: http://docs.oasis-open.org/specGuidelines/namingGuidelines/metadata.html Regards, Mary From: Considine, Toby (Facilities Technology Office) [mailto:] Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 10:51 AM To: Subject: FW: Completion of OBIX Version 1.o Well - what do we call them? tc From: Brian Frank [mailto:] Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 10:45 AM To: Paul Ehrlich; Aaron Hansen Cc: Considine, Toby (Facilities Technology Office) Subject: RE: Completion of OBIX Version 1.o I have not posted the my changes yet, because I’m not sure what to call it. As the TC administrator Mary will need to start the vote. We need to send her a link to the document and a link to the comment disposition log (see below). Let me know where to find these and I will forward them to Mary along with directions to start the vote. I need the following from the two of you: 1) Are the changes made to the document substantive or editorial? 2) If they would be considered substantive then we will need a copy with the changes marked and proceed into a 15 day review. 3) If they are just editorial then we can place a vote up to release this to a Committee Specification status. Paul From: [mailto:] On Behalf Of Mary McRae Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 8:46 AM To: Paul Ehrlich; Dee Schur; James Bryce Clark; James Bryce Clark Subject: Re: Completion of OBIX Version 1.o Hi Paul, Congratulations! The next thing the TC needs to decide is whether or not the changes were substantive (meaning that they would cause something built to the public review draft to break or be invalid). If yes, then we do another 15-day public review. The specific changes are marked, and only those changes are subject to comments. Alternatively, if the changes are deemed to be editorial in nature, then the committee can decide that it would like to vote for Committee Specification status. CS ballots must be run by the TC Administrator so all I need is a note from you indicating that the TC decided to move forward with a CS vote and I can start the ballot. As part of that I'd also need the link to the latest spec and a link to the comment disposition log (which should list each comment received, a link to the message, and how it was resolved).
