Encodings, The Lobby, and Other Specs
Sending to the list for discussion because the answer potentially spans multiple documents

 

In the Core document,  obix-v1.1-wd17.pdf, in the table at line 722, is a list of lobby values for encoding. This list is representative, but not exhaustive. Some proposals:

 

In the paragraph 720-722, there should be an indication that the list in the examples is representative, but not exhaustive

 

Conformance

1)     
Any specification defining an encoding for OBIX, SHALL declare the Lobby Encoding string for that Encoding

2)     
Where available, the Lobby String SHALL use the MIME value that corresponds to the Encoding EXCEPT where that String is already used and the two encodings are incompatible

 

In each section of the Encodings document, the Lobby string for that Encoding should be specified.
