Hi Toby,

okay, that's cool then. Thanks for checking it!

BTW I will miss todays call as I host an event at the university which most likely won't finish before 5pm (the time of the call) - I do not see pressure to publish something right now as I discussed with the alliance that editoral changes (like link changes) can easily be made. Talk to you next week!

Not sure what the bridge namespace was, but this schema validates….

Hi Tobi,

I just got this one, forwarding it directly (I haven't checked it here locally as I don't have a XMLSpy environment set up)

Do you have a set of Sample Documents for me to examine?

Typing in from the screen capture is, to say the least, problematic, given the quality of my typing.

The definition of absTime is

<xs:complexType name="AbsTime">
           <xs:complexContent>
                       <xs:extension base="Obj">
                                   <xs:attribute name="min" type="xs:dateTime"/>
                                   <xs:attribute name="max" type="xs:dateTime"/>
                                   <xs:attribute name="val" type="xs:dateTime"/>
                                   <xs:attribute ref="tz"/>
                       </xs:extension>
           </xs:complexContent>
</xs:complexType>

When I generate an artifact for abstime using XMLSpy, I get:

<abstime n1:display="String" n1:displayName="String" n1:href="http://www.altova.com" n1:icon="http://www.altova.com" n1:is="http://www.altova.com" n1:name="NMTOKEN" n1:null="true" n1:status="ok" n1:writable="false" min="2001-12-17T09:30:47Z" max="2001-12-17T09:30:47Z" val="2001-12-17T09:30:47Z" n1:tz="String" xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/obix/ns/201312/schema" xmlns:n1="http://docs.oasis-open.org/obix/ns/201312/schema"/>

Note that name does appear.

Perhaps we need to more carefully distinguish more carefully in the document between NMTOKENS containing or not containing :, but that is a different issue.

For reference, the version of the Schema that we sent out for Public Review last December can be found at:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/obix/obix/v1.1/csprd02/schemas/obix-v1.1.xsd

The TC has not yet formally voted on or asked for a formal namespace and namespace versioning policy. Such a policy supports names such as

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/emix/2011/06

And would request a namespace document such as at

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/emix/2011/06
or at
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/energyinterop/201110

We probably should.

Thanks

Hi Toby,

did that XSD work for sample documents? My colleague encountered validation issues within XMLSpy. Here a screenshot:

That set is compatible with the one I generated from. It was merely renamed and the header added for publication.

According to the document respository, the latest OBIX XML schema is https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/obix/download.php/52411/obix-v1.1_WD21.xsd
