[OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (ODATA-32) Allow filtering of expanded to-many navigation properties

Michael Pizzo commented on ODATA-32:
------------------------------------

I don't think we should allow the same navigation property to be specified multiple times in a $expand. This was required for the path syntax but is not required, and offers ambiguity, with the new format (i.e., what if I have two $expands for the same navigation property with different $filters applied?)

> "Give me all open purchase orders and expand all items that have a weight of over five tons"
> This cannot be expressed as a query on the items if these are contained in the orders.
> Even if the items are not contained, the reformulation as a query on items expanding the order would repeat the included order entities in case of multiple matching items, which is undesirable.
