Description

OData Version 4.01 CS02, OData JSON Format Version 4.01 CS02, OData Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) JSON Representation V4.01 CS02, and OData Common Schema Definition Language (CSDL) XML Representation V4.01 CS02 were approved as Committee Specifications on 14 November 2019. Each has received 3 Statements of Use from IBM, Microsoft, and SAP [2]. Do you now approve submitting these Committee Specifications to the OASIS membership for consideration as Candidate OASIS Standards?

The Working Drafts for these Committee Specifications contain changes made since their last public reviews. The changes made are documented in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/66517/odata-v4.01-cs02-non-material-changes-2020-01-16.docx. The TC judges these changes to be Non-Material Changes in accordance with the definition in the OASIS TC Process (https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/oasis-defined-terms-2017-05-26#dNonmaterialChange).

Approving this ballot will result in a 60-day public review for each specification after which, if no comments are received, the COS will be submitted to a membership-wide call for consent. If comments are received, the TC will be asked to vote by Special Majority Ballot on whether to continue to the membership vote. This is explained in TC Process section 3.4.2, Public Review of a Candidate OASIS Standard [3].

This ballot requires a Special Majority Vote [4]. The TC roster currently lists 10 voting members. In order to pass, at least 7 (2/3 x 10) members have to vote Yes and no more than 2 (1/4 x 10) members may vote No.
