subtables

Regarding the thread "Recommendation
to deprecate the is-subtable attribute" on the [office] list, I think
the following is a response to all the questions that were raised.

The issue raised by the AccSC is the
use of table:is-subtable to implement cell merges.  This results in
table cell addresses which are confusing due to the mismatch of the subtable's
cell addresses and the cell addresses in the surrounding table.  It
would be helpful if the WG could provide the AccSC with working examples
and/or fully specified use cases using table:is-subtable where table:is-subtable
is not being used for cell merging.  The current ODF spec only shows
table:is-subtable being used for cell merging.  Once working examples
and/or fully specified use cases are provided, the AccSC can do an analysis
from an a11y perspective.
