Oh, that's a good idea. I was concerned that if everyone keeps
implementing broken functions for compatibility then things will never
improve. Having a group called LEGACY or DEPRECATED would be a good step
forwards.

Another possible step is to announce that LEGACY functions will
eventually be removed from the spec. How does that sound? Maybe also
provide, when possible, a mechanism to convert each LEGACY function into
an acceptable one (this will not always be possible).

I'd like to think of something to slowly get implementors away from
legacy functions.
