Re: [opencsa-ms] adding SDO TC to the LSC
The SDO TC chairs asked me to represent it on the LSC (they know I already represent the SCA C/C++ TC). At the moment there are no specific difficulties, but the SDO TC would like to be consistent with the SCA TCs with respect to things like URI formats, namespaces, etc. and that having representation on the LCS would provide for a more official means of communication as opposed to the informal means that currently exist. I would like to understand what difficulties the SDO TC is encountering that they feel that joining the LSC will fix. This isn't a justification, it is for SC educational purposes. There are a couple of other agenda items which I would like to request for Friday's meeting. I'll post this separately and include this agenda item in the list. I suspect that there are at least two actions that will be generated from this including the following: a) Decision and approval of the SDO TC reps on the LSC. b) Changes and approval of the LSC Charter to allow this. I'd like to know if anyone would have an objection to modifying the charter/scope of the LSC to also include the SDO TC. If i don't hear anything back in the next week or so, I'll set up an web ballot so that the steering committee can take a formal vote. cheers, jeff -- Jeff Mischkinsky Director, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Web Services Standards +1(650) 506-1975 Consulting Member Technical Staff 500 Oracle Parkway, M/ S 2OP9 Oracle Redwood Shores, CA 94065 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mail list, you must leave the OASIS TC that generates this mail.
